“I want to live. I want to give. I’ve been a miner for a heart of gold.”
I will be honest. In a world full of constant change and growth, I always worried about my desire to become an artist. A part of me always felt like I was pursuing a dying craft.
So many times in the past, I would start something and give up before letting it fully flourish. I’d tell myself I should be doing something more productive, more practical.
I’m not even sure what finally snapped me out of that mindset… but whatever it was, I’m grateful for it. Because now, I am so much happier creating art and sharing it with others.
As a kid, I remember bragging to anyone who would listen that my dad was an artist. Just the other day, I overheard my daughter telling her friend, “Both of my parents are artists.”
What a feeling!
Art will never be a dying craft.
There’s nothing like building something rad on a Saturday afternoon… it just never gets old.
